The Bellefontaine swim teams took part in two meets this weekend.
On Saturday and Sunday, they were at the Southwest Ohio Classic at St. Xavier in Cincinnati.
Elias Abrego got first place in the 50 freestyle and 50 butterfly, and second in the 100 freestyle.
Brooklyne Kuntz won the 100 butterfly, and was second in the 200 freestyle and 200 backstroke.
Taking third were Kate Myers in the 500 freestyle, Elaina Ullom in the 50 breaststroke, Cody Hudson in the 50 breaststroke, Kuntz in the 200 individual medley and the boys 400 medley relay (Beckham Harman, Hudson, Abrego, Ryan Alexander).
A large number of personal best times were achieved as well.
At the Team Champ Invitational on Sunday, the girls placed second and the boys were fourth in the 14-team field.
Harman has second in the 100 backstroke and third in the 200 IM. Hudson was fifth in the 100 breaststroke and 10th in the 100 freestyle.
Ella Fultz took fourth in the 100 butterfly and sixth in the 500 freestyle. Maddie Ullom was fifth in the 100 free and sixth in the 200 free.
In relays, the boys 200 medley (Harman, Hudson, Grady Feasel, Will Myers) was third and the girls 200 free (M. Ullom, Kaidi Freeman, Gillian Steele, E. Ullom) took second.
“I’m proud of our athletes for embracing each opportunity to race. We came out of the weekend with a lot of new best times and a few new things to focus on,” said Coach Sharon Lewis.
Bellefonaine will compete in the league championships on Saturday at Wright State University.
