The Bellefontaine Police Department Special Response Team (SRT) made significant strides in combatting narcotics-related activities with the successful execution of two search warrants on July 27. These operations led to the apprehension of several suspects and the seizure of illegal substances and drug-related paraphernalia.

The first search warrant was executed at 216 Ludlow Road, where SRT members swiftly took into custody the resident, Valerie Blake, 32.

Blake was arrested on a felony warrant for felonious assault, and during the search of her residence, authorities discovered a quantity of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. As a result, Valerie Blake now faces additional charges for possession of methamphetamine, classified as a third-degree felony. She was promptly lodged in the Logan County Jail to await further legal proceedings.

Shortly after this operation, at 9:01 a.m., the SRT moved to 405 Seymour Street to execute the second search warrant. There, they found two residents, identified as William Dolan III, 29, and Jaedyn Ford, 25, asleep in a detached garage. Both suspects were apprehended on existing felony drug warrants.

Subsequent searches of the premises and garage yielded incriminating evidence, including drug paraphernalia, pills, and items used in the manufacturing of crack cocaine. As a consequence, William Dolan III and Jaedyn Ford now face new charges of manufacturing drugs, classified as a second-degree felony. They were taken into custody and lodged in the Logan County Jail.

Dolan’s felony warrants were for complicity to trafficking cocaine, trafficking in cocaine and trafficking in fentanyl. Ford’s felony warrants were for complicity to trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine.

In these highly coordinated operations, the Bellefontaine Police Department Special Response Team received invaluable assistance from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau and the Bellefontaine Fire Department. The joint efforts of these law enforcement agencies ensured the successful execution of the search warrants and enabled the swift apprehension of individuals involved in narcotics-related activities.

The Logan County community has applauded the SRT’s dedication to curbing drug-related crimes and ensuring the safety of its residents. The diligent work of these law enforcement professionals demonstrates their commitment to upholding the law and maintaining the peace within the city.

The Bellefontaine Police Department urges residents to continue cooperating with law enforcement and to report any suspicious activities in their neighborhoods promptly. With the ongoing support of the community and the relentless efforts of the Special Response Team, the fight against drug-related offenses remains a top priority for law enforcement in Bellefontaine.
