Athlete of the year: Delaney Jones, WL-S
A junior, Jones returned to sport after a one-year absence and turned in a sensational season. She helped the Tigers’ 4×100 relay team win a Division III state title and she also placed fourth in the 100-meter dash and fourth in the long jump. She established area-bests in the 100 (11.89), 200 (24.63), long jump (18-4.75) and 4×100 relay (48.67). (EXAMINER PHOTO | MATT HAMMOND)
