BCS bus drivers give back through reading initiative

Gratitude was on full display to wrap up the school year at Bellefontaine City Schools.
Initially, staff members from Bellefontaine Elementary School and Bellefontaine Intermediate School supplied breakfast to BCS bus drivers during Bus Driver Appreciation Day.

Then the bus drivers then wanted to give back, so multiple bus drivers read to students at BES.

Drivers also spoke to fifth-graders at BIS about transitioning to the middle school bus route next year.“Every driver came back and talked about how much they enjoyed the experience and expressed wanting to read to the students again,” BCS Transportation Supervisor Tammie Garman said.

BCS has 13 full-time bus drivers, two bus aides, two substitute bus drivers and four van drivers.
