The West Liberty Business Association, West Liberty Lions Club and the West Liberty-Salem Athletic Association are joining forces to host “Battling Beside Trudy,” to support community leader, Trudy Bradley, as she battles lymphoma for the second time.
A fundraising event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, featuring a chicken noodle dinner, auction and raffle at the West Liberty Fire Department.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Bradley family to help with medical expenses.
Bradley has been a barber at Keith’s Kut and Kurls for 31 years and is also a bus driver at West Liberty-Salem. She is active in the West Liberty-Salem Athletic Association, volunteers as a coach with the Big Orange Elementary Run Club and has volunteered with the West Liberty Youth Soccer Association.
“Trudy is one of the most giving and selfless people I know,” said West Liberty-Salem head boys cross country coach, Mike Louden. “She always steps up when it comes team meals, transportation or anything else our athletes need. She embodies what all parents in the community should strive to be.”
Trudy and her husband Tyler have two sons, Troy and Taryn, both of whom are students at West Liberty-Salem.
