Barbara “Bobbi” Sharp-Patrick passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, September 29, 2024. She was a lifelong resident of East Liberty until she retired in Marysville.
Bobbi was a 1968 graduate of Logan Hills Schools. She had multiple careers including working at Mary Rutan and Memorial hospitals before finding her passion working as a 911 dispatcher at Union County Sheriff’s office. She took a lot of pride in her work and loved her years serving Union County.
Bobbi was a hard worker but her priority was always her children. She often worked multiple jobs as a single mother to make sure her children had everything they wanted and needed. Bobbi lived her life for her children and had so much pride for each of them. She loved attending her son’s sporting events throughout the years, especially his football games. From a young age, Mason and his teammates knew his mom would be in the stands cheering at the 50 yard line. She never missed a game. She had a close bond with her daughters; Azure-Dee and Amanda, and loved to shop with them; whether it be every year on Black Friday or hunting down a bargain. Bobbi never could pass up a good deal.
Bobbi’s final years were spent at Prestige Garden’s nursing home where she was loved and cared for by the many staff there.
Born December 4, 1950, in Bellefontaine, she was the oldest daughter of the late Ernest, Sr. and Elsie (Martindale) Sharp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Owen James Lucio-Patrick, brothers David Sharp and Ernest Sharp Jr., and three nieces.
She is survived by her children; Mason (Katie Geckeler) Patrick, Azure-Dee (Billy) Irwin, and Amanda (Nathan) Slough. Grandchildren; Lincoln and ClaraBelle Slough, Henry, Nash, Georgia, and Samuel Irwin.
Brother and sisters, Connie Baughman, Bonnie (John) Brose, April McCreary, sister in law Kim Sharp, all of East Liberty, Susie (Bruce) McCoy of Bellefontaine, Paula (Morgan) Mathys of Raymond and Ronnie (Christina) Sharp of East Liberty; 32 nieces and nephews, 23 great nieces and nephews; along with many other extended family and friends.
Bobbi’s family will receive guests and condolences at a celebration of life in her beloved hometown of East Liberty at the Lodge located at 3232 Main St; on Sunday, October 6, from 3 to 6 p.m. with food and refreshments.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions be made to The Miracle League which was a program that was dear to her heart as her grandson, Owen played baseball in that program before his passing.
