Barbara “Barb” Lynne (Lacher) Rigg

It is with profound sadness that we share the beloved wife, mother and friend, Barbara Lynne (Lacher) Rigg entered into eternal life on June 21st, 2025, at the age of 78, from complications of breast cancer. Born in Chicago, IL in 1947, raised in Indian Lake, Ohio for much of her childhood, she graduated from Indian Lake High School. She worked for St. Regis Paper Company, Howard Division when she relocated to NYC and met the love of her life.  Most of her career was in retail at companies such as Gloria Marshall Figure Salon, Mary Kay Cosmetics sales representative in Ohio, Four Season Fireplace and Patio, and Resettlers Consignment and Moving Company in PA, and Commission Mart Consignment in Greenwich CT.   Throughout her life she volunteered with various church organizations.
In Barb’s free time she loved working in the yard, playing golf with her husband and other activities such as bowling and softball.  She cherished spending time with her loved ones, especially her children, particularly at her home of Indian Lake, Ohio. She enjoyed trips with her husband to visit friends that are around the United States.  Her devotion to Catholicism was a driving force for her entire life.  When she retired, she assisted in raising her granddaughter and continued to volunteer until illness no longer allowed her to do so.  She was kind, honest, greatly loved by those she met.   She is survived by her loving daughters, Jennifer Rigg-Brandt and Stefanie Ramstine (Terry), her only grandchild, Abigail Brandt, her brother Jeffrey Lacher, sister-in-law, Sue Bartolai (Lucio), and several nieces and nephews. She follows in death her loving husband Deacon Russell T. Rigg, her parents, Jerome and Florence (Bastian) Lacher and her brother Jerome Lacher Jr.
Barbara’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 28th, 2025, at St. Mary’s of the Wood Church, 464 Madison Ave, Russells Point, OH at 11AM. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM.  Her interment will be held in Huntsville Cemetery, Huntsville, OH immediately following the service. Her family would like to thank all who have cared for Barbara, with special thanks to the staff of Stamford Hospital who worked tirelessly to attend to her.
