Balanced Lakers jolt Raiders

Indian Lake’s boys basketball team received contributions from its entire squad Tuesday in a 77-35 rout of visiting Benjamin Logan in Central Buckeye Conference action.

Indian Lake is now 10-9 overall and 7-1 in the CBC. The Raiders drop to 0-19, 0-8.

The Lakers saw 10 players score, with four reaching double digits.

Isaac Morrison led the Lakers with 13 points. Lane Tucci had 12, Camdon Tuttle 11 and Logan Murphy had 10.

Also for Indian Lake in the win, Caiden Nicol and Avery Pequignot scored nine points apiece.

Gavin Neeley scored 11 points to lead the Raiders. Ty Anspach had eight points and Hayden Alexander chipped in six.

Indian Lake quickly took control Tuesday, jumping out to a 25-10 lead at the end of the first quarter.

The Lakers led by 27 points (42-15) at halftime and held a 33-point advantage (60-27) after three periods.

In the junior varsity game, Indian Lake won 58-33. Tyson Ramirez led the Lakers with 16 points. Peyton Vermillion led the Raiders with 13 points.

Both teams are back in action Friday. The Lakers travel to Urbana and the Raiders host Graham.
