William Ginn, 24, of Bellefontaine, and Kara Anderson, 41, of DeGraff, each were charged with disorderly conduct, following an altercation that occurred around 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, in the area of the 300 block of north Elm Street.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were dispatched to that location on a report of a fight in progress. Upon their arrival, officers were told Ginn had asked Anderson if she knew where any crack cocaine could be purchased.
A verbal altercation ensued that soon devolved into threats of violence with Ginn brandishing a hammer and Anderson in possession of a knife and pepper spray.
Police observed some cell phone video of the incident in which both defendants could be seen yelling at one another as some witnesses tried to separate them.
Both Ginn and Anderson were issued a summons.
