UPDATE: Officals are getting ready to celebrate—and invite the community to help celebrate—the hard work, dedication and support that made the long-awaited new Logan County Animal Shelter a reality.
A grand opening and ribbon-cutting event is planned for March 6.
Logan County Dog Warden Jake Boyd shared additional details about the celebration on social media. Below is a recent post from the Dog Warden of Logan County Facebook page.
Have you heard? Mark your calendars!!!!! The shelter will officially open on March 6. The ribbon cutting will be at 4PM and an open house will be from 4-7. We will not do adoptions or have dog out during this time as it would be extremely stressful for them, however they will be viewable and applications will be accepted towards the animals in our care! We look forward to packing the shelter with people!
A media release from the Logan County Commissioners about the event is below.
The Logan County Commissioners, in partnership with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, announced plans for a grand opening celebration of the Logan County Animal Shelter on March 6.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held in conjunction with the Logan County Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau at 4 p.m., followed by a community open house from 4 to 7 p.m.
The Logan County Animal Shelter is located on the grounds of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and Jail at 284 County Road 32 S., Bellefontaine.
