Anglene D. Perry Cookston, 95, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and formerly of West Liberty, Ohio passed away Monday, November 11, 2024.  

She was born April 30, 1929, in the Perry home near Urbana, Ohio to the late Kenneth Kermit and Hazel Christine (Johnson) Perry.  

Anglene was a graduate of Cable High School.  She married Gale Lewis Cookston (October 28, 1947) who preceded her in death March 3, 1994.  Anglene was a former member of First Church of God in West Liberty, Ohio and a current member of Castleton Church of the Nazarene, Indianapolis, Indiana. She was active as a children’s Sunday school teacher, worship service musician, and leader in local and state international missions’ organizations.  Among the most important things in her life were her faith, her church, and her family.

Anglene is survived by three sons and their families: Joseph (Merry) Cookston, Kenneth (Lynette) Cookston, and Charles (Cynthia) Cookston; grandchildren, Marlo Cookston (Michael Harner), Joel (Jessica) Cookston, Bethany (Antonio) Crispin, Cory (Rebekah) Cookston, Tyler (Stella) Cookston, and Danielle Sagers; brother, Ronald (Tonya) Perry; and 21 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her brother, David (Betty) Perry; and two sisters, Ilo (Thomas) Wiant and Priscilla (Donald) Ogden.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 12Noon at Jenkins Chapel Community Church, 7016 Urbana Woodstock Road, Cable, Ohio. Private burial was in Mount Tabor Cemetery, Champaign County, Ohio.
