Organizational & Regular Meetings

Organizational Meeting

5:30 p.m.

Newly elected board member Brad Adams was administered the Oath of Office by Treasurer Ronnie Fitchpatrick.

Board President Pro-Tem Janet Siders called the 2026 organizational meeting of the Riverside Board of Education to order.

Pledge of Allegiance

Resolution 01.26 – Board Vacancy Appointment

Duane Heath moved and Blaine Dixon seconded a motion to fill the board vacancy.

The board appointed Joel Snow to serve the remainder of the unexpired term ending Dec. 31, 2027.

Roll call vote:

  • Adams – yes

  • Dixon – yes

  • Heath – yes

  • Siders – yes

Motion carried.

Joel Snow was administered the Oath of Office by Treasurer Ronnie Fitchpatrick.

Resolution 02.26 – Election of Board President

Blaine Dixon nominated Janet Siders as board president for 2026.

Roll call vote:

  • Adams – yes

  • Dixon – yes

  • Heath – yes

  • Siders – abstain

  • Snow – yes

Motion carried.
Janet Siders was elected board president.

Resolution 03.26 – Election of Vice President

Joel Snow nominated Brad Adams as vice president.

Roll call vote:

  • Adams – abstain

  • Dixon – yes

  • Heath – yes

  • Siders – yes

  • Snow – yes

Motion carried.
Brad Adams was elected vice president.

Resolution 04.26 – Regular Meeting Schedule

Joel Snow moved and Brad Adams seconded a motion to establish regular meetings on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. for 2026.

Roll call: unanimous

Superintendent’s Report

Superintendent Dr. Scott Mann provided building updates, noting that MS/HS Principal Kelly Kauffman was attending BPA competition and Elementary Principal Bryce Hodge was at the county spelling bee. Mann reported operations were running smoothly and on schedule.

Resolution 08.26 – Superintendent Consent Agenda

Approved:

  • Certified substitute teacher and classified substitute paraprofessional lists

  • Resignation of Jeannie Cooper, kitchen staff, effective May 21, 2026

  • 2026–27 course catalog
