FINDLAY — Camdon Tuttle, an Indian Lake High School graduate and former multi-sport standout for the Lakers, has added another milestone to his athletic résumé after earning national preseason recognition at the collegiate level.
D2 Baseball released its annual Preseason Division II Baseball All-America teams Tuesday, Jan. 27, naming Tuttle a Second Team Preseason All-American as a relief pitcher. The honor marks the first preseason All-America selection in University of Findlay baseball history.
Tuttle’s path to national recognition began at Indian Lake, where he distinguished himself as one of the program’s most versatile athletes in recent years. He earned multiple postseason honors across three sports, laying the foundation for his rapid rise at the collegiate level.
In golf, Tuttle was recognized for both performance and sportsmanship, earning the Central Buckeye Conference Sportsmanship Award as a freshman, Special Mention All-CBC honors as a sophomore, and First Team All-CBC recognition during both his junior and senior seasons.
On the basketball court, Tuttle was a consistent all-league performer, earning First Team All-CBC honors as a junior and senior. His senior season also brought statewide recognition, as he was named Honorable Mention All-Ohio.
Baseball, however, proved to be his strongest platform. Pitching for the Lakers, Tuttle earned Second Team All-CBC honors as a sophomore before moving up to First Team All-CBC recognition during his junior and senior seasons.
That success translated immediately to the college game. During the 2025 season at Findlay, Tuttle emerged as one of Division II’s top relief pitchers, appearing in 19 games out of the bullpen. He finished the year with a 3-0 record, a 3.03 earned run average and 39 strikeouts over 35.2 innings. His nine saves tied for the Great Midwest Athletic Conference lead and ranked 15th nationally.
Tuttle’s freshman campaign earned him First Team All-Conference honors from the G-MAC and First Team All-Region recognition from the National College Baseball Writers Association, making him the first Findlay player since Alex Williams in 2014 to earn NCBWA First Team All-Region honors.
The Preseason All-America teams recognize returning Division II players only and are selected based on established eligibility and evaluation criteria from the previous season.
With a historic freshman season behind him and national recognition already in hand, Tuttle enters the 2026 season as one of the top returning relief pitchers in Division II and a key piece of the Oilers’ pitching staff.
