The United Way of Logan County announced this week a new community engagement director and initiative coordinator for Logan County Harwood Initiative, and also provided a 2025 campaign updated, noting that a little over half of the $1.1 million goal has been raised thus far.

Jamie Morley is the new community engagement director, and fills the position of Derek Robb, as he steps down for another opportunity.

“Jamie has a strong passion for bringing people together and making a difference in our community. She’s excited to meet our volunteers, partners, and residents as we continue working together to strengthen our community,” United Way officials said.

“The timely arrival of Jamie coincides with Derek Robb’s departure from United Way of Logan County. Derek came into the role of community engagement director/Harwood Initiative coordinator and owned every part of it.

“He not only learned everything he could about his many roles, but he also endeavored to form lasting relationships with our volunteers and partners. He worked hard right up to his last day, always giving his all. We appreciate all he has done for United Way of Logan County and his deep love for giving back to his community.”

Relating to the 2025 campaign, approximately 560,000 has been raised, as of Oct. 31.

“Thank you to all of you who have already pledged and made your contribution for 2026,” United Way officials said. “Thanks to your donations we were able to assist partners in addressing food insecurity, homelessness, mental health, education, health and community resilience.”
