Robert ‘Bob’ Watt

859

Robert “Bob” Watt, 66, of Kenton, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, in Otterbein Green Hills, West Liberty.

Bob was born on May 12, 1959, in Bellefontaine, Ohio to the late John and Sharon (Smith) Watt.

Bob was truly one of the best at what he did. His skill in autobody paintwork wasn’t just a job, it was a passion. He had an incredible eye for detail, and it showed in every car he touched. Some of his work even made its way into museums, a testament to just how good he was.

If it had wheels and an engine, Bob loved it. He was a huge NASCAR fan and could talk cars for hours with anyone who’d listen. But he wasn’t all grease and gears, Bob also had a deep love for the outdoors. He especially enjoyed hiking at Old Man’s Cave, soaking in the beauty of nature whenever he could.

At home, Bob took pride in everything, from the way his house looked to how the yard was kept. And when it came to food, the man could grill. He was always outside cooking something up, whether it was for a quiet night in or a gathering with friends and family. Good food, good company, that was Bob’s kind of day.

More than anything, Bob loved his people. His family meant the world to him, and his friends were like family too. He had a big heart, a strong work ethic, and a way of making everyone feel welcome.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Linda Watt; children, Shelby (Lucas) Mossbarger; Corey Hedges; grandchildren, Jimi (Lexi) Stephens, Jonnie Price, Xander Helton, Peyton Watt, Graysen Watt, Ella Mossbarger, Lucas and Levi Mossbarger; and great grandchildren, Roman, Tilleon and Cuinn.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents; brother Chris Watt; son, Bryan Watt; and his beloved dog, Elliot.

A gathering of friends and family will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, in the Vernon Funeral Home, Urbana.

Memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Mike McKenzie officiating.
