Lady Chiefs volleyball falls to Kenton Ridge

Bellefontaine celebrated its senior volleyball players on Tuesday night, prior to a Central Buckeye Conference match with Kenton Ridge.
The Lady Cougars won in four sets, 15-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-13.
Senior Kelsie Snapp had 13 kills, eight digs, five blocks and two aces. Madi Zedeker had 30 assists, six digs, and two blocks, and was 16-of-16 serving. Kaeleigh Flora had seven kills, nine digs and was 7-of-8 serving.
Also contributing were Ava Layman with 12-of-12 serving, nine kills, and nine digs; Jillian Ullom with 13 digs and 9-of-9 serving; Presley Vigansky with three kills, three digs and two aces; and Alayna Boyd with five blocks and three kills.
The junior varsity team won 25-22, 25-19.
Bellefontaine is 4-5 in the CBC and 15-5 overall. They play at London Thursday, then host Ponitz on Saturday at noon to close out the regular season.

North Union 3, Ben Logan 2
Ben Logan lost to visiting North Union in a CBC contest that went to the tiebreaker.
The Lady Raiders won the first two sets, 25-23 and 26-24. North Union then won 25-18 and 25-21, before winning the fifth 15-13.
Summer Cline had 18 kills, Abby Vance 16 and Georgia Daniels 12 for Ben Logan. Caroline Spriggs had six kills, and Annika Chappell one. Kylie Harner had 47 assists and Marlee Butcher had five aces and five digs.
Ben Logan (3-6 CBC, 7-14 overall) wraps up the regular season tonight at home against Shawnee.

Northwestern 3, Indian Lake 1
SPRINGFIELD — Indian Lake fell to Northwestern in a CBC Mad River match.
The Warriors won 25-20, 25-20, 23-25, 25-18.
Indian Lake’s Cami Bailey had 12 kills and 19 digs. Courtney Altstaetter had nine kills and five blocks, and Annie Rapp had five kills, three blocks, 11 digs and was 10-of-10 serving. Riley Ross had 13 digs, and Addy Roby had 29 assists and five kills.
The junior varsity won 25-18, 25-22, and the freshman team won 25-19, 25-17.
Indian Lake (7-2 CBC, 16-4 overall) hosts Graham tonight and is at Allen East on Saturday.

West Liberty-Salem 3, Mechanicsburg 0
MECHANICSBURG — West Liberty-Salem swept host Mechanicsburg in Ohio Heritage Conference North play.
Ava Pope had nine digs and six kills, with two aces. Naomi Cole had 11 kills and three aces. Lilli Heminger had seven kills and two aces. Reese Winters had five kills and four aces. Reagan Winters was 14-of-14 on serving and Kenna Wright was 5 of 6.
Also for the Lady Tigers, Lyndee Harrison had 14 assists, and Sophia Landon had nine assists and five digs. Kiersten Stoll had four aces.
The junior varsity lost 25-23, 25-16.
West Liberty-Salem (14-1 OHC, 18-3 overall) completes the regular season tonight at West Jefferson.

Riverside lost to Covington on Tuesday in Three Rivers Conference action.
The Lady Buccs won by scores of 25-11, 25-8 and 25-5.
Zoey Ransbottom had seven assists and six digs. Makayla Hurley and Eva Dodds each made three kills. Emilee Robinson had 12 digs.
The junior varsity won 25-21, 19-25, 25-15.
Riverside (2-11 TRC, 2-19 overall) finishes the regular season tonight at Milton-Union.

Calvary Christian 3, Miami Valley 0
Calvary Christian defeated Miami Valley in three sets on Tuesday in a Metro Buckeye Conference match. The Lady Spartans won 25-16, 25-5, 25-16.
Ava Cole had 10 kills and two aces. Claire Heater had five aces and three kills, and Grace Zell had 19 assists and two aces.
Calvary Christian (1-8 Metro Buckeye, 2-19 overall) faces Kingdom Christian tonight to finish the regular season.
