Ava Astorino, right, was crowned West Liberty-Salem’s 2025 homecoming queen and Jake Lauck was crowned homecoming king during a special ceremony held Friday evening, Sept. 26, before the Tigers’ varsity football game against Fairbanks. Ava and Jake represent the very best of Tiger Pride—leadership, school spirit, and a true love for the WL-S community, school officials said. Their selection highlights their outstanding contributions both in and out of the classroom. “This year’s Homecoming was a perfect example of what makes Tiger athletics and community so special. From the crowning to the energy in the stands, and capping it off with a big 42–0 win over Fairbanks, it was truly a night to remember,” Athletic Director Morgan Sullivan added.
