The Logan County Unified Drug Task Force and detectives from the Bellefontaine Police Department executed a search warrant Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 3129 County Road 130, Bellefontaine, which resulted in the arrest of the homeowner and the seizure of drugs, cash and a handgun.
Joseph Clifford, 34, was arrested on a felony warrant for trafficking in cocaine during the execution of the search warrant.
During a search of the residence, a gallon sized plastic bag covered in cocaine residue was found next to the toilet. A large amount of suspected illegally pressed pills containing narcotics was located in the toilet and recovered.
Additionally, officers seized a large amount of psilocybin mushrooms, pills, approximately $28,221 in cash and a handgun.
This operation was the result of a month’s long investigation and a request for additional charges has been forwarded to the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office.
