Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, marks the 24th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93, which crashed in Pennsylvania. Patriot Day serves as a time of remembrance for the lives lost on that September morning and to honor the bravery of first responders and everyday heroes.
At Benjamin Logan High School, students paused throughout the day at the exact times of the attacks to lead moments of reflection. Taps will accompany each pause as a solemn tribute to the victims and heroes of 9/11, as presented by:
8:46 a.m. – Ella Chamberlain, Ashe Moorhouse and Elliot Carpenter
9:03 a.m. – Winnie Bodin, Ashe Moorhouse and Elliot Carpenter
9:37 a.m. – Caroline Spriggs, Ashe Moorhouse and Elliot Carpenter
10:03 a.m. – Carter Daniels, Ashe Moorhouse and Elliot Carpenter
“Thank you to our student leaders for guiding us in remembrance,” district officials said. “We are proud of our students for showing respect, unity, and leadership on this important day of remembrance.”
