Bellefontaine tennis falls to London

Bellefontaine’s girls tennis team lost to London 4-1 in a Central Buckeye Conference match on Tuesday.

At first singles, London’s Alaina Tate defeated Ava Dolan, 6-0, 6-0.

At second singles, Shayla Lowe defeated Olivia Wayre of the Chiefs, 6-2, 6-3.

At third singles, Sophia Alt defeated Bellefontaine’s Layla Hoyt, 6-0, 6-0.

The Chieftains’ first doubles pair of Mia Brown and Rylee Crabtree won over Kate Johnson and Harper Witt, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.

At second doubles, Kate Gregonis and Sara Burke defeated the Chiefs’ Adison Postle and Maria Casanas, 6-0, 6-0.

In junior varsity play, Charlie Hughes and Vanshika Shah lost in doubles, while Oriana Vasquez lost in singles.

Bellefontaine (0-4 CBC, 4-4) plays at Milton-Union today at 4:30 p.m.
