Indian Lake volleyball tops Ben Logan

The Indian Lake volleyball team defeated rival Benjamin Logan in three sets on Tuesday night.

The Lakers won by scores of 25-20, 25-22, and 25-20.

Indian Lake also won the junior varsity contest, 25-20 and 25-13.

The Lakers are 3-0 in the CBC and 9-1 overall. They face Northwestern on Thursday at home.

Ben Logan is now 1-2 in the conference and 4-5 overall. On Thursday, they will travel to North Union.

In other volleyball action Tuesday:

West Liberty-Salem 3, Greenon 0

West Liberty-Salem defeated Greenon in Ohio Heritage Conference play.

The Lady Tigers won 25-18, 25-16, and 25-23.

Naomi Cole had 18 kills and eight digs. Ava Poppe had nine kills, nine digs and three aces. Reagan Winters had 17 digs and was 16-of-16 on service. Lyndee Harrison made 23 assists and Sophia Landon had 19.

The JV team won 25-13, 25-15.

West Liberty-Salem is 6-1 in the OHC and 6-2 overall. They face Greenview on Thursday at home.


Miami East 3, Riverside 0

Riverside lost to Miami East in a Three Rivers Conference match.

The Vikings won 25-13, 25-8, 25-10.

In the JV match, Miami East won 28-26, 27-25.

Riverside (1-5 TRC, 1-9 overall) is at Covington on Thursday.
