Labor Day Festival welcome

Several generations join together atop an International Harvester tractor Saturday morning, Aug. 30, for the West Liberty Labor Day Festival parade, which took place under sunny skies and featured many antique tractors, emergency vehicles, community clubs and groups and other unique vehicles. The parade began on the west side of town and concluded at Lions Park, where a variety of family-friendly activities take place over the long weekend during the 60th annual festival hosted by the West Liberty Lions Club, continuing through Monday, Sept. 1. OSU Buckeye fans blow bubbles to entertain the crowd while enjoying a wagon ride hauled by a Farmall Super M tractor in the parade Saturday morning.

A 1915 Happy Farmer antique tractor hitches a ride in the parade Saturday morning. A sign on the float designated that the tractor has been owned by the same family for six generations.

Miniature horses and full-sized horses joined For the Love of Everything 4-H members for a walk in the parade.

Members of the 2025 Logan County Fair Royalty Court tossed candy to parade-goers along the route.

Racers from the Mac-O-Chee Valley Quarter Midget Racing Association take it nice and slow along the parade route.

A tractor-hauled shuttle, pictured at the right, will be available to festival-goers throughout the weekend, with stops at off-site parking at Grace Chapel Church, Bethel Mennonite Church and West Liberty First Church of God.
