Gloria Ann Shough Burnside Hendershott, 87, of Riverside, Calif., died at 5:20 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2025, at Moreno Valley Community Hospital in Moreno Valley, Calif.
Born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, on Feb. 18, 1938, she was a daughter of Paul E. and Beatrice F. Chamberlain Shough.
She is preceded in death by by her first husband, Elden I. Burnside; a son, John E. Burnside; a grandson, Evan J. Farrow; and brothers Neil P. Shough and Rocky E. Shough.
She is survived by her husband, Richard S. Hendershott of Riverside, Calif.; daughters, Paula B. (Stephen) Burnside Troyer of Russells Point, Ohio, and Pamela A. (Joseph) Burnside Farrow of Fallbrook, Calif.; grandchildren Amber M. (Michael) Fagan of Russells Point, Ohio, Jordann D. (Kyle) Aler of Cumming, Ga., Jared S. (Maeghan) Troyer of Charlotte, N.C., and Alexander R. (Alexa) Farrow of Carlsbad, Calif.; great-grandchildren Ethan and Austin Parker, Graden and Garrison Aler, Colby Troyer and Walker Farrow; a brother, Daniel P. (Fran) Shough of DeGraff, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gloria worked for SDA Conference in Loma Linda, Calif. She was a lifelong member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
A graveside service will begin at 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at Harper Cemetery. Pastors Ted Chamberlain and Dan Holbrook will officiate.
