The Bellefontaine girls tennis team opened its 2025 season on Thursday with a 5-0 win over Wayne at home.
At first singles, Ava Dolan defeated G. Price 6-2, 6-4.
At second singles, Olivia Warye won over S. Miller 7-5, 6-2.
At third singles, Harley Neer got a win over O. Woolum, 6-1, 6-1.
The Lady Chiefs’ first doubles pair of Mia Brown and Rylee Crabtree won over Galloway and Jackson 6-0, 6-0.
At second doubles, it was Adison Postle and Maria Casanas over Cardona and Miller, 5-7, 6-3, 6-2.
In exhibition play, Layla Hoyt and Charlie Hughes won 8-1 and Oriana Mata Vasquez won 8-6.
Bellefontaine will be off until Aug. 21 when they host Tecumseh. Play begins at 4:30 p.m.
