Golf round-up: Tigers, Chiefs take part in girls golf invitational

The West Liberty-Salem girls golf team finished fourth at the Graham Invitational on Friday.

There were 11 teams in the field. It was held at Lakeland Golf Club.

Olivia Reichert (101) was fifth and Geneva Estep (112) eighth among
individuals. Breece Gullett had 138 and Ashlyn Pope 144 for a team score of 475. Also taking part was Grace Jones with a score of 124.

Bellefontaine was also part of the field, taking seventh place with a score of 497.
Gillian Steele had a round of 115, followed by Olivia Dearwester with 121, Elliett Lang at 128 and Allison Myers with 133. Also in action was Thessaly Reminder (138).

Springfield was the team champion with a score of 417.

Lady Pirates drop match to Indians

The Riverside girls golf team was outshot by Mechanicsburg Thursday, 232 to 259 at
the Urbana Country Club.

Meaghan McDaniel was the match medalist with a round of 37.

BOYS

Indian Lake second in tri-match

KENTON — Indian Lake competed Thursday in a twi-match with Kenton and Delphos Jefferson at Kenton Memorial Golf Course.

Austin Root of Kenton was the match medalist with a round of 38.

The Wildcats had a team score of 175. Along with Root, it was Landon Paugher (44), Oliver Sneary (45) and Cale Harshfield (48).

The Lakers had a score of 183. Jaxon Snipes led with 42, followed by Cooper Hall at 44, Crew McPherson with 46 and Joe Cummins at 51. Other scores were Jesse Carder with 58 and Kade Richardson at 60.

Delphos Jefferson had a total of 207 from Issa Rostorfer (45), Austin Orndorf (51), Jacob Aurand (54) and Aiden Kroeger (57).

Indian Lake will play in the Urbana Classic on Monday.
