Fans and supporters of Tavien St. Clair turned out Monday, July 28, to wish the nationally ranked quarterback well during a hometown send-off event at Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken in Bellefontaine.
The Ohio State University commit may get the opportunity to play inside “The Shoe” and sling the pigskin on fall Saturdays like Justin Fields, Troy Smith, C.J. Stroud and other Buckeye greats before him.
Eager fans filled the parking lot and formed a long line outside the restaurant waiting to get an autograph and photos with the five-star prospect QB.
St. Clair also did some promotional work prior to the event as part of the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) partnership between the former standout Bellefontaine Chieftain QB and Lee’s.
As part of the overall deal, Lee’s will work with St. Clair throughout the upcoming football season to engage fans and celebrate his continued success.
In his four years with the Chieftains, St. Clair completed 729 passes out of 1,090 attempts. He threw for 9,794 yards with 104 touchdowns and just 22 interceptions.
The scheduled two-hour event included a live interview with former OSU and NFL player Keith Byars and Justin Kinner with Dayton’s 1410 ESPN-WING Radio.
