Etta M. Pitts, 72, of New Hampshire, OH, formerly of Lakeview, OH, passed away with her family by her side on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Kindred Hospital, Lima, OH.
Etta was born on January 8, 1953, in Lima, a daughter of the late Freeman W. and Emily M. (Parker) Rich. She married Everett L. Pitts, Sr. on February 7, 1971, in Bellefontaine, OH and he preceded her in death on October 17, 2022.
She is also preceded in death by a brother, Walter Rich, twin brother, James Rich, granddaughter, Kierstin Johnson and a nephew, Gregg Norris.
Etta is survived by two children, Everett L. (Julie) Pitts, Jr. of Columbus Grove, OH, and Cassandra (Josh) Gann of New Hampshire, six grandchildren, Dane (Alex Slupski) Britton III, Kalee Britton, Alexis Roland, Emily (Tylor) Grames, Dylan (Alex Howard) Pitts, and Evan Pitts, three great grandchildren, Scarlett Johnson, Laila Roland, and RJ Roland, a sister, Louise (Bruce) Norris, and several nieces and nephews.
Etta worked for many years assembling wiring harnesses. She was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, enjoyed shopping, playing games, watching Lifetime Movie Network, and loved cats. She also loved Elvis and was proud to share her birthday with the “King”. Above all, Etta loved her family and cherished spending time with them.
A celebration of Etta’s life will be held at a later date.
