Indian Lake Middle School is celebrating the selection of two of its students for statewide Youth Art Month exhibits.

Eighth-grader Emma Taylor was chosen as an honored artist for the 45th Annual Youth Art Month Exhibition with a landscape painting.

Sixth-grader Kayla Tracey is being recognized as an honored artist for the 45th Annual Young People’s Art Exhibition with a cake drawing.

Both events are sponsored by the Ohio Art Education Association with each exhibition featuring 125 works of art from students in grade k-8 across Ohio.

There are eight regions in Ohio representing the OAEA.

It’s a great distinction for students to be a part of the exhibitions.

Indian Lake Middle School art teacher Mrs. Rebecca Dotson, along with Emma and Kayla, will be honored during a reception at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus on Saturday, March 1.
