Fire department dispatched to put out smoke at AGC

No injuries were reported Tuesday, Feb. 25, after Bellefontaine fire crews were dispatched to quell smoke coming from a local manufacturer.

Bellefontaine firefighters responded around 11 a.m. to AGC Automotive, 1465 W. Sandusky Ave., following reports of smoke inside the building. Crews contained the situation by approximately 11:45 a.m.

The fire reportedly originated in an area where a contractor was performing renovation work. The exact cause remains under investigation.

AGC Automotive produces glass for the automotive industry, including laminated and tempered glass used in vehicle manufacturing.
