The Riverside girls basketball team celebrated Senior Night Thursday with a 47-25 win over Milton-Union in the Three Rivers Conference.
Riverside led by three after one period, and was up 28-17 at the half. They stretched it to 19 points by the end of the third.
Avery Perk had 13 points, Miah Carman had 12 and Aubree Huston added nine. Perk and Huston are the team’s two seniors.
The junior varsity squad outscored Milton-Union 16-12 in two quarters. Maddie Lemly had eight points.
The Lady Pirates are 2-12 in the TRC and 6-15 overall. They will wrap up the regular season today with a game against Bradford.

Tigers earn victories
West Liberty-Salem’s bowlers prepared for the league tournament with matches on Thursday and Friday.
They faced Southeastern on Thursday, taking both varsity contests
The boys won 2,627 to 2,575. The high series for WL-S belonged to Devon Jones at 458 (200-258), followed by Luke Thomas with 423 (223-200), then Zander Gluckle with 364 (221-143) and Tucker Searles at 352 (194-158). Carson Kerns had a 173 game and Evan Borgerding got a 130 game.
The girls finished with 2,004 pins to Southeastern’s 1,970. Leading the way was Alyssa Mueller with 342 (160-182), then Lilly Gearheart at 328 (154-174). Next was Sadie Paul with 319 (173-146) and Elli Ullery at 280 (130-150). Other game scores were Jenny Reprogle’s 107 and Kathy Roehm’s 91.
On Friday, they took on Madison Plains and got another sweep.
The boys got a win with 2,380 pins to the Golden Eagles’ 1,649.
Thomas was again the top man with a 425 series (215-210). Jones was next at 299 (102-197), then Borgerding with 298 (155-143), Gluckle at 287 (149-138) and Kerns rounding it out at 273 (123-150).
WL-S girls had a total of 2,222 versus Madison Plains’ 1,867.
Ullery had the high total in regular games with a 357 series (177-180). Mueller was next at 351 (210-141), then Paul with 340 (179-161) and Gearheart at 289 (142-147). Roehm contributed with a 133 game and Reprogle got a 121 game.
The boys are 5-3 in league and 10-6 overall, while the girls are 6-2 and 12-3.
The teams will participate in the OHC tournament today at Beaver Vu Lanes in Beavercreek.

Spartans fall to Shekinah
Calvary Christian lost to Shekinah Christian 43-37 on Thursday.
The Spartans led 26-19 at the half before Shekinah rallied in the second half. Philip Davie had 11 points and Zeeke Wylie nine for Calvary Christian.
