Logan County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Ben Vollrath, right, interviews an Indian Lake High School student this week during Power Pace interviews at the school, joined by many volunteers from a wide variety of Logan County businesses. Power Pace Interviews are coordinated by the Midwest Regional Educational Service Center, as part of the “3E” initiative, preparing students to make the choice to be Employed, Enlisted, or Enrolled at graduation. ILHS teacher Alex Jacobs had students well-prepared for the interviews, including by creating resumes. These mock interviews serve as a valuable experience for the young people, not only for those entering the workforce, but for those interested in college and the military. Employers evaluated the students on their interview performance and gave feedback for improvement in a group setting, as well as individually. During the next several weeks, students at each of the Logan County school districts will be participating in Power Pace interviews. (SUBMITTED PHOTO)
