Davis gets 300 game; Raiders bowlers top Graham

Senior Nate Davis of Benjamin Logan rolled a perfect 300 game as the Raiders defeated Graham in boys bowling action Tuesday. The Raiders finished with 3,013 pins to Graham’s 2,719. Jarrett Buckenroth had the high series of 470 (233-237), followed by Dylan Stewart at 464 (245-219), Landon Stoodt 460 (235-225), Davis 451 (300-151) and Wyatt LeVan 383 (171-212). They had 2,228 pins in the conventional round and a Baker games score of 785 (213-212-178-182).

The Ben Logan girls bowlers defeated Graham in Central Buckeye Conference action Tuesday. The Lady Raiders won by 18 pins, edging Graham 2,549 to 2,531. Maddy Hamm led Ben Logan with a 392 series (222-170), with Hunter McColloch right behind at 391 (200-191). They were followed by Aubrey Zedlitz 379 (189-190), Lorali Klopfenstein 347 (197-150) and Kaelyn Corwin 335 (168-167). Ben Logan had 1,844 pins in regular games and 705 in the Baker round (191-170-166-178). The junior varsity also won, with the totals being 1,516 to 1,468. Jacey Koehler had a 272 series (157-115), Gi Saunders had 256 (139-117) and Kailey McCollough rolled a 212 (108-104)

Lakers fall to Alder

The Indian Lake boys suffered their first defeat of the season Tuesday, losing at Jonathan Alder 75-56 in Central Buckeye Conference play. The Lakers are now 1-1 in the CBC and 2-1 overall. Brodey Reisinger had 28 points and Avery Pequignot added 14. The Pioneers took a 20-10 lead in the first quarter. Indian Lake put up 21 in the second, but Alder matched them with 19. At the break, Alder was ahead 39-31. The hosts then erupted for 29 points in the third period, holding the Lakers to 14, and then maintained the cushion in the fourth. Jonathan Alder won the JV game 48-17. Skyler Haas had four points. Indian Lake plays Friday at Northwestern.

Pirates lose to Lehman

Riverside lost to Lehman Catholic 53-35 in Three Rivers Conference play Tuesday at home. Gavin Orsborne had 17 points and four steals for Riverside. Jaxon Woods scored eight points and had three rebounds. Hayden Sanford and Brody Orsborne each added three points. Riverside started strong, outscoring Lehman 14-10 in the first period. They had a 9-8 edge in the second for a 23-18 lead at the break. The Cavaliers controlled the second half, putting up 15 in the third and 20 in the fourth, and holding Riverside to 12 total. The junior varsity Pirates won 48-43. Colton Hurley had 18 points, Syler Clark eight, Cooper Crouch seven and David Gross six. Riverside (0-4 TRC, 2-5 overall) will be at Miami East on Friday.

WL-S gets victory

West Liberty-Salem got a 56-42 win over visiting Madison Plains on Tuesday. The Tigers improve to 2-1 in both the Ohio Heritage Conference and overall. Isaiah Reames led with 19 points. Taran Logwood had 15 and Brevin Louden added 10. Carson Poppe had six rebounds and five assists. The Golden Eagles took a 17-12 lead in the first quarter, with WL-S having the edge in the second and tying it at 23. West Liberty dominated the third, outscoring Madison Plains 21-9, then kept that lead through the fourth with a 12-10 advantage. The Tigers won the JV “A” game 46-33, getting eight points apiece by Beckett Sullivan, Josiah Johnson and Tucker Searles. They won the JV “B” contest 51-18. Leaders were Asher Cole with 170 and Brayan Gullett with 10. West Liberty-Salem will visit Triad on Friday. JV play begins at 5 p.m.
