Ronzil J. Jarvis, 77, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Monday morning, December 16, 2024.  Ronzil was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, on January 17, 1947, youngest son to the late Glendo Jarvis and Dicie (Moss) Jarvis.

Ronzil was a graduate of Parkersburg High School. He then attended Grace College and Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, IN where he obtained his Master in Divinity. While at Grace College and working at Ralph’s Supermarket during the summer, he met Rebecca Moellendick. Soon after, they were married and were married for over 50 years.

Ronzil, or Pastor Ron as he was known, pastored for over 47 years (34 years at Listie Grace Brethren Church in Listie, Pennsylvania as well as New Troy, MI and Parkersburg, WV). He was an avid reader who loved his Bible, sports (Steelers, Pirates, and WVU), game shows and sweets. He loved to take pictures of and visit covered bridges.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Anne (Moellendick) Jarvis on April 5, 2020, and sister June Burkholder. Ronzil is survived by his sons: Philip (Susan) Jarvis of Bellefontaine, and Jonathan (Kristen) Jarvis of Hudsonville, Michigan; 3 grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Lucy, and Oliver; a brother, Gaynol Jarvis of Washington, West Virginia; a sister, Mary Ann Burkholder of Parkersburg, West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is available for friends on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 5-7pm at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio. A visitation will also be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 11am until 12noon at the Sunset Memory Gardens, 1934 Dupont Road, Parkersburg, West Virginia, where Pastor George Horner will officiate the funeral service at 12 noon.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden.
