Olivia Douglas, 26, of Ottawa, was cited for failure to control following a two-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday, Dec. 5, along eastbound U.S. Route 33, just east of the interchange at U.S. Route 68.
Douglas reportedly was eastbound around 7:15 a.m. on U.S. 33 operating a 2023 white Jeep Grand Cherokee in the right lane when she lost control on the icy roadway, officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report. The SUV left its lane of travel, veering into the left lane and into the path of an eastbound 2024 gray Honda CR-V driven by Daniela Castillo, 30, of Lima.
The Castillo CR-V reportedly struck the driver side front of the Jeep that Douglas was driving, and both vehicles came to a stop in the median.
No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
