Foxi Carter, 41, of Ada, was arrested on an outstanding warrant Monday, Nov. 25, after officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department responded to a menacing complaint at a residence in the 100 block of West Brown Avenue.
The complainant, Peggy Clark, called dispatch to report that a male at the residence was cursing at her and drinking alcohol against property rules. While officers were en route, dispatch informed them that Carter had entered the home and was yelling at the male. It was also confirmed that Carter had an active warrant through the department.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with Clark, who directed them to two males inside the residence. The men were warned to keep to themselves. Clark then informed Officer Treen that Carter was upstairs.
Officers located Carter in the upstairs hallway, where she was advised of her arrest. While being placed in handcuffs, Carter requested a copy of her warrant, which officers explained would be provided at the jail. During the arrest, Carter made several remarks, including a comment that officers were “just mad because she looked better than us,” according to the report.
As the situation upstairs unfolded, Clark began yelling at the two males again. Officer Treen called for backup, but the scene was de-escalated by other officers, who issued disorderly conduct warnings to Clark and the two men.
Carter was transported by Officer Treen to the Logan County Jail without further incident.
