Eunice C. Krouskop, 98, of Russells Point, OH passed away Thursday morning, October 24, 2024, at Mary Rutan Emergency Department, Bellefontaine, OH.
Eunice was born on October 17, 1926, in Louisville, KY, a daughter of the late Leslie Lee and Hazel Lockard Cary. She married Charles “Fred” Krouskop on April 6, 1946, in Louisville and he preceded her in death on November 18, 2012. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Alanel Jo “Rabbit” Kruesch.
Eunice is survived by her son, Fritz (Janet) Krouskop of Russells Point, grandson, Steve (Jaime) Spofford of Belle Center, OH, two great grandchildren, Lindsey Spofford and Stevie Spofford, two nephews, Ron Gooding, and Chris Krouskop, and her beloved pet, Cookie.
Eunice graduated from Ohio Northern University in 1970 after attending the University of Cincinnati for two years. She spent 28 years with Indian Lake Schools, teaching at Huntsville Elementary, retiring in 1989. Eunice was a member of Indian Lake Community Church, Order of Eastern Star, Bellefontaine Chapter 459, a charter member of Indian Lake Elks 2792, Indian Lake FOE Aeries 3615, Indian Lake Women of the Moose 452, Logan County Retired Teachers Association, Friendly Senior Citizen’s Center in Bellefontaine, Logan County Historical Society, and Mary Rutan Hospital Guild.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 2, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery.
