Janet L. Crevison, 78, of West Mansfield, passed away Monday, October 15, 2024, at Monarch Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Marysville following several months of failing health.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she was a 1964 graduate of Buckeye Local High School and then the Frederick Beauty Academy. She worked as a short time as a beautician before answering her true calling of being a wonderful homemaker for her family.
A devoted Christian, she was a log time member of the West Mansfield Global Methodist Church, where she formerly served as a trustee and was active in the Women’s Society. Having a special love for children, she helped raise 12 foster children over the years. She also enjoyed sewing and reading.
Born August 26, 1946 in DeGraff, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Imogene (Comer) Clapsaddle.
On October 22, 1967 at the East Liberty Church of Christ, she married her husband of over 45 years, Charles D. Crevison, and he preceded her in death on June 26, 2013. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Janet Clapsaddle; 4 brothers-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law.
Janet is survived by her son, Eric Crevison of West Mansfield; grandchildren, Aidan, Lily and Trevor Crevison; brothers, Robert “Bob” Clapsaddle of East Liberty and Norman Clapsaddle of York Center; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Services to celebrate Janet’s life will be at 1 p.m. Friday, October 18, at the Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel 222 W. Center St. West Mansfield. Rev. John Rozewicz will officiate and burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday, beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
