The Raider Reading Program, designed to promote school spirit and a love for reading, has returned for another year. This unique initiative pairs Benjamin Logan High School senior athletes with elementary classrooms, fostering connections across grade levels and encouraging students to develop a lifelong passion for reading. Friday, Oct. 4, several senior athletes visited Benjamin Logan Elementary School to read stories and share Raider pride with young learners. In return, each elementary class is encouraged to “adopt” their athlete, making them their own special Raider role model throughout the school year. “By bringing high school athletes into the classroom, the Raider Reading Program not only promotes literacy but also strengthens community ties and creates positive role models for our youngest Raiders. It’s a win-win for everyone involved,” school officials said. (Benjamin Logan PHOTO)
