Passenger lodged on warrant, paraphernalia

Robert Shoffner, 46, of Bellefontaine, was arrested around 7:40 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, on an outstanding warrant and for an additional paraphernalia charge following a traffic stop executed by officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department.

Officers on patrol observed the defendant in the passenger seat of a white Chevy truck traveling westbound from Woodview Drive onto Eastern Avenue, and were aware he had an outstanding felony warrant for complicity to possession of cocaine.

A traffic stop of the vehicle was conducted in the area of the 500 block of Eastern Avenue and Shoffner was taken into custody at that time. He admitted to officers he had a crack pipe hidden in his show and gave it to officers. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
