An unruly bar patron that repeatedly refused law enforcement’s efforts to calm her down was arrested Saturday, Aug. 17, after causing an extended disturbance.

Marissa Bill, 24, of Englewood, was charged with persistent disorderly conduct and for resisting arrest by deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office. Law enforcement was dispatched around 8:30 p.m. to Froggy’s at the Lake on a report the defendant had reportedly struck a bartender and was causing a scene.

The bar owner reportedly did not want to press charges and deputies instructed Bill multiple times to get a ride home. Employees and patrons attempted to reason with the defendant, but she continued to yell and curse at officers.

She was visibly intoxicated and continued to be confrontational and argumentative with deputies. She was warned several times to stop yelling and swearing, but refused.

She was eventually placed in handcuffs and fought with deputies as she was apprehended. Bill was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
