The Bellefontaine Police Department hosts the 11th annual chicken barbecue fundraiser Saturday, Aug. 17, at a new location this year — at the police department, 135 N. Detroit St., Bellefontaine.
The event takes place rain or shine from 4 to 7 p.m., featuring Nelson’s Catering Port-A-Pit barbecue chicken. The meal includes a 1/2 chicken, two sides and a roll.
K9 demonstrations will be part of the event as well.
Drive-thru and pick-up are available. Tickets are $15 a meal and can be purchased at the police department.
All proceeds benefit the police department’s K9 unit.
Pre-purchased tickets should be redeemed by 6 p.m. After that time, any pre-ordered dinners will be resold.
