Editor’s Note: The information below was provided by Bellefontaine Service Safety Director Wes Dodds concerning the 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13 special hearing of Bellefontaine City Council.
Public questions and comments during the special hearing will be limited to the zoning matters discussed.
A regular city council meeting will follow the hearing at 7:30 p.m. Members of the public will have the opportunity, as with all regular council meetings, to express their comments and concerns about city business during a portion of the meeting.
The hearing is to consider zoning language for Solar Energy Systems – as an accessory use or a principal use. If adopted, the zoning language would be applicable throughout the city, not just one specific site.
The hearing is not about the specific proposed Hodson Energy Project or annexation of property into the city.
The purpose of the hearing is to take comment on the proposed zoning language. There is no agenda item on the issue for action tomorrow – that will come later after feedback from the hearing and something is brought forward for council action.
