Boasting perfect weather and record numbers, the 24th Annual Hot Summer Nights Cruise-In continued to prove why it’s the number one event in Bellefontaine.

Thousands of people crowded the downtown area on Saturday, Aug. 10, to see the cars, enjoy golden oldies tripping off the speakers, and fill up on walleye sandwiches or barbecue chicken or some sweet and salty kettle corn.

Thanks to Top of Ohio Cruisers, the night featured 100 more classic and contemporary cars than in 2023, with people from all over the state—and even Indiana—showing up to show off everything from Model Ts to hot rods to trucks and vans and off-road vehicles.

“We had 414 entries,” Darin Robinaugh, who heads up the Top of Ohio Cruisers club, said, adding, “This is the biggest event downtown.”

The night included a DJ and several fundraising activities like a 50/50 drawing and a $1,000 raffle. Money raised will, once again, go to local charities.

Next year, the Cruisers are looking forward to their 25th annual celebration, which they will begin planning in February 2025. Residents and visitors can anticipate enjoying the best cruise-in yet!

Corporate sponsors for this year’s cruise-in were: Citizen’s Federal Savings & Loan , Auto Zone,  Allen Tire, LLC, Wammes Storage & Rentals, Ltd, Mary Rutan Hospital, O’Reilly Auto Parts, David Dailey’s State Farm Insurance, LeVan’s Body Shop,  Robinaugh EMS, LLC,  Old School Restoration, LLC,  City Sweets & Creamery,  Easton Water Solutions, KFC of Bellefontaine, Small Nation, Don’s Downtown Diner, Wreck-A-Mended 2, Rustic Boutique, Advanced Auto and T&L Graphics.
