Water main repairs underway on West Williams Ave.

UPDATE: The boil advisory has been lifted.

PREVIOUS STORY 

A boil advisory has been issued for multiple locations in the area of west Williams Avenue, including sections of north Main, Madriver and Detroit streets; as well as portions of east Williams and Rush avenues; Henry Street; and Powell and Orchard avenues.

The entire list includes:
400-800 north Main Street;
501 N. Madriver St.;
500–800 north Detroit Street;
100 block of west Williams Avenue;
100 block of east Williams Avenue
600-800 Rush Avenue;
600 block of Henery Street;
200 block of Powell Avenue; and
200 block of Orchard Avenue.

Residents are asked to please boil water for at least five minutes for consuming, and should allow water to run and clear up if it is discolored or cloudy.

Employees of the Bellefontaine Street Department had been working to repair a water main break that occurred Tuesday morning, Aug. 6 in the 100 block of West Williams Ave.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area at this time.

As of 11:15 a.m., no boil advisory was issued for residences in the affected area. If water pressure drops below 20 PSI an advisory will be issued, street department personnel said.
