As the new school year approaches, Ohio Hi-Point Career Center is excited to welcome all new and returning students to a Student Orientation, set for noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7.

This event is designed to ensure a smooth start to the school year by providing students and families with essential information and resources.

Due to the increased number of students attending OHP — a record high of over 700 students enrolled — families are encouraged to attend during the following times to allow students ample time to ask questions and get the information they need:

• Last names starting with A-J: Noon to 2:30 p.m.

• Last names starting with K-Z: 2:30 to 5 p.m.

What to expect at orientation:

• Pick up class schedule and uniform (Final Forms must be completed).

• Student drivers can register for a parking pass. Take your license, registration and proof of auto insurance.

• Pick up your laptop and get help with any tech questions.

• Meet with the school nurse for any special medical considerations.

• Talk with our counselors about any schedule or course questions.

Before attending Orientation, all students must complete Final Forms.

Even if a student has a Final Forms account through their partner district, OHP students and families must create an account using the student’s Ohio Hi-Point email address. New students and families will receive Final Forms login information in mid-July, while returning students can complete Final Forms using their Ohio Hi-Point email address.

For the 2024-25 school year, Ohio Hi-Point will utilize a staggered start to the school year to allow new students time to acclimate to campus.

The first day for new students is Wednesday, Aug.14. All students will attend school Thursday, Aug. 15.

Ohio Hi-Point’s school day starts at 8:05 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m.

OHP’s partner schools are aware of Ohio Hi-Point’s start day and time, and bus transportation is provided to and from Ohio Hi-Point’s campus. For questions on transportation, contact the transportation department at your partner school.
