Date:

Haven Kathleen Kerns, 1 month old, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus surrounded by her loving family.

Haven was born May 11, 2024 in Dublin, OH, to Lewis Lee and Allison Jeanne (Pitt) Kerns.

Haven: a place of safety and refuge. As much as we wanted her place of safety to be here with us, we know she is with her Heavenly Father, in heaven. Though she was with us for a short time, the impact she made on our lives, our family’s lives and friend’s lives will last an eternity. Our daughter Leighton will grow to learn all about her sister Haven and will forever have a strong little angel watching over her.

She is survived by her loving parents Lee and Allison Kerns; sister, Leighton Kerns; grandparents, Terry Kerns and Tammy Heminger, Karen (Jeremy) Gerrard and Sam (Betty) Pitt; aunts, Bailey (Cody) Van Buskirk, Julie Ney and Loriann (Tanner) Seymour; many other loving friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will take place Monday, June 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory, 5591 US Hwy 68 S., West Liberty, OH 43357.  Private Family Graveside will take place following the Celebration of Life.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Loeys-Dietz Foundation, 22 Manhasset Ave., Port Washington, NY 11050 in honor of our daughter Haven, who was diagnosed with this invisible illness. We want to bring awareness to this genetic syndrome and to those who are living with it today.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the NICU staff at Dublin Methodist Hospital and Nationwide Children’s Hospital for loving our daughter as much as us during her short time on earth. We will forever be grateful for those that loved on our daughter when we couldn’t be there.

Online condolences may be expressed at www.jenningsfarley.com.
