ILHS students selected for Buckeye Girls State

Four accomplished young ladies will represent Indian Lake High School at the 2024 Buckeye Girls State event. 

Cameron Finfrock, daughter of Bryan Finfrock and Jenna Finfrock of Huntsville; Emma Meyer, daughter of Brad and Paula Meyer of Belle Center; Adeline Robinson, daughter of Matt and Anna Robinson; and Cambria Tuttle, daughter of Greg and Michele Tuttle of Huntsville, have been selected to attend the event on the campus of Bowling Green State University during the session June 9-16. 

Buckeye Girls’ State is sponsored locally by the Charles Collins Ladies Auxiliary Post 381. 

Participants must meet several qualifications. Candidates must be juniors in high school, interested in government and current events and have an above average scholastic standing. The young women must also demonstrate high moral character, possess strong leadership skills and have a desire for learning.

The purpose of Buckeye Girls’ State is to educate young women from Ohio in the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of good citizenship and to learn about city, county and state government.
