Twila L. Berry, 86, of Chippewa Park, Lakeview passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, after a brief illness surrounded by her family at Mary Rutan Hospital.

She was born December 26, 1937, in Marion and was the daughter of Kromer and Leona Predmore Harbin.

Twila and her late husband, Robert Berry were married for 45 years, and he proceeded her in death in September 2000.

Twila received an associate degree while working full time and raising 4 children.  She was a retired engineer at GTE in Marion; she was a charter member of the Eagles Auxiliary in Lakeview where she had been the past president and most recently the auxiliary secretary for 15 years. Additionally, she was a member of the Moose, VFW, and Amvets Ladies Auxiliary.

Twila is survived by two sons; Rob (Sandy) Berry of Concord, NC, and Dean (Pam) Berry of Columbus OH, one daughter; Tracy (Stephen) Yadao of Kapolei, HI. Additionally, she has eight grandchildren, Stephanie, James, Britney, Michael, Paige, Kanoelani, Keola, and Kuulei: nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Twila was proceeded in death by her son Kevin and grandson Jordan Berry, and great granddaughter Kayla King.

Twila loved the lake life and after her retirement moved full time to Indian Lake. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was kind, generous and had a beautiful smile that could light up a room. Twila was an adamant Elvis fan and collector of Elvis memorabilia. She loved boating, reading, playing solitaire, dancing, and listening to music at the various clubs she belonged to.

Twila was cremated at her request.  A celebration of life will take place at 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, at Shoffstall Funeral Home at 205 S. Main, Lakeview OH and following the service a dinner will be held at the Eagles in Lakeview.
