Adriel School, Inc., a long-standing non-profit supporting foster children, announces the sale of its property at 550 N. Detroit St., West Liberty, Ohio. The move comes as part of a strategic effort to optimize resources for the welfare of foster children across Ohio.
The property has been acquired by the Madison-Champaign Educational Service Center (MCESC), known for its support to local school districts and communities. Adriel’s President and CEO, Todd Hanes, expressed satisfaction with the transition, highlighting the importance of finding a successor committed to continuing the organization’s legacy.
Adriel has acquired a new facility at 1600 S. Main St. in Bellefontaine, near the existing Enterprise Rent-A-Car location. The relocation signals a significant step forward in its mission to improve the lives of vulnerable youths. The new space will provide expanded programs and services, including foster care training, therapy, family reunification, and administrative support, Adriel officials said.
Adriel extends thanks to its supporters, donors, and community partners whose contributions have been vital in achieving this milestone. The organization remains dedicated to its core values and mission, ensuring continued support for foster children in need.
“We sought the ideal successor, one who values our heritage and will continue our story in their own distinctive way,” remarked Hanes. “This transition marks a new chapter for Adriel, enabling us to better serve the needs of foster children and families across Ohio.”
MCESC plans to continue utilizing the facility that will retain the name “Yoder Center” to serve young people with special needs, thereby extending the legacy of John L. Yoder.
The new facility in Bellefontaine represents a pivotal advancement in Adriel’s mission, enabling the expansion of programs and services to further empower children in foster care.
