Tom Eugene Cramer, 79, of Bunnell, Fla., passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024 at AdventHealth Palm Coast, Fla.

Mr. Cramer was born January 18, 1945 in Lima, Ohio, a son of Carl and Charlet Smith Cramer.

After graduating from Indian Lake High School in 1964, Mr. Cramer joined the United States Navy. He served our country as a Utility Aircrewman and a Flight Engineer.

A decorated veteran, he received the Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Navy United Commendation; Navy and Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal; Five Good Conduct Awards; Sea Service Deployment Ribbon; Meritorious Unit Commendation; Seven Air Medals; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; Vietnam Air Gallantry Medal.

After his honorable discharge, he worked for Old Castle Mulching Company in Palatka. He was known for his storytelling, he enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Salvacion “Sally” Cramer, whom he married April 30, 1984. Three children, Meriam (Derek Teal) DelCarmen of St. Augustine; Jovelon (Stacy Wilson) DelCarmen of Palm Coast; Chadwick Cramer of Huber Heights, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Jovelon DelCarmen; Carine DelCarmen; Brinanna Rozena and Riley Cramer; one brother, Joe (Barbara) Cramer of Russells Point, Ohio.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Cramer and Charles Walter.

Family and friends were received Saturday, May 11, at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, where services were at noon by US Army Lt. Col. Harry Gilman. Interment followed in Flagler Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
